Hydrotherapy involves the use of water to treat various conditions, such as arthritis, rheumatic complaints and other ailments.
Sessions take place in our on-site hydrotherapy pool that has been designed to provide access for people with limited mobility. Our physiotherapists are experts in movement and function. They will work in partnership with you to assist with movement disorders that may have been present from birth, acquired through accident or injury, or are the result of ageing or life-changing events.
Some of the major benefits of hydrotherapy are:
- safe non-weight-bearing exercise
- relief from pain, swelling and stiffness
- cardiovascular fitness
- muscle strengthening
- increase in range of motion
- improved circulation
If you have a current Chronic Disease Management Plan from your general practitioner, you will be bulk billed for your initial consultation. Participants are required to bring their own swimwear and towel. Toilets and change room facilities are available.
For more information about hydrotherapy, please make an appointment to see one of our general practitioners.
